This is a very good example that a Lack of Snags is proportional to built quality !!! =D> =D> =D> =D>

This is at cruise speed and tendency becomes less at lower speed, rolling tendency remains to the left.
The aircraft is comfortably flyable in this state (full right aileron trim). We have decided to continue flying like this and will
Troubleshoot when the wheel spats and gear fairings are fitted.

We did another 1.2 hours yesterday so the aircraft now has a total of 16.2 hrs.
Before yesterday's flight we did an oil and oil filter change and cleaned and re-oiled the air filter.
I personally think that the engine is now almost run in but we will fly it hard for a couple more hours just to make sure.
The EFIS behaved itself yesterday and did not bomb out like on previous flights but we are still researching this snag.

The aircraft now has 21.3 hrs on it,and we still flying it balls to the wall.
Because we are using an uncertified engine, Lycoming YIO-360-M1B ,CAA wants 45hrs before applying for an authority to fly.
As far as i know the law says min 40hrs for an uncertified engine.
Our engine is uncertified but this rule should apply to an automotive conversion in my opinion.
45 hrs within radius of 100km from base is excessive in my opinion.
CAA told me they are working on bringing this down to 25hrs ? They are in discussions about this ?
CAA has however approved a range and endurance test routing that will be beyond the 100km radius from base.
No new snags :D
Think we found reason EFIS was rebooting after +-1.5hrs but will confirm after a few more flights.
As soon as the wheel pants and gearleg fairings are fitted we will tackle the left roll tendency snag.
Otherwise we are extremely pleased with the performance of the aircraft and are looking forward to flying off the 45Hrs.

Hi Dornier

It might be worth you while to chat with ACEMAN, he had the same 45 hours problem, and got it sorted in 5 min.

The CAA has agreed to let us apply for the initial authority to fly after 25hrs.
I wrote them an e-mail requesting this and included a list of the snags we have had.
Their only requirement was that the inspection for the initial authority to fly be done by
The AP who did the inspection for the proving flight authorization.
The aircraft now has 23.8 Hrs on it with no new snags.
The EFIS does not reboot any longer inflight,we switched off the data recording on a flight, and have left it off
On subsequent flights.Suspect that this was causing the problem.
We will fly the remaining 1.2 Hrs this weekend and then apply for the authority to fly.
