Hi Bennie
You have the only RV12 build thread to follow in SA and there is only two RV12 in SA flying at the moment. We are waiting in anticipation for your next posting and progress.
No pressure hey?! I know there are other builds out there that can become good threads.....

May was a month of hardly any build production and this month to date, only deburring of the cone skins - that took a while with no visual reporting.

Hope to report more soon.

Hi RV’rs

Managed a couple of hours preparing the fuselage bulkhead as well as a lot of small parts required that will enable empennage attachment - all to make up a good prime session.

The photos should tell the story rather.....

A couple of more photos on the Fuselage Bulkhead showing the rivet detailing – quit involved!
Those AN470’s make you work with the squeezer – and there are plenty to squeeze!
Riveting next then!!

Looking good. Make that piece nice straight and strong! The Stabilator hinges on it, and it brings the rear tailcone together, so it is important to get it as good as you can. Rudi

Then, just to keep all things balanced, a bit of gliding with Christiaan - our first flight togther. Look at all the rivits a "blik" glider nogal.

Then on to building with many holes of deburing as well lengths of edge deburring. Decided to do all the cone skins together - took a while

To get the prime "negative mask" cut lines in the palstic and check that all fits well, the skins were put together. The openings for skin J-stiffener in the fuse frames needed enlargement in places.

And then remove all the clecos again just to be put back for final rivet when removed finally again!!! Very glad the holes are pre drilled and mach drilled!

Thank you Gents!

Still catching up with photos. Bottom skins at point of edgebreaking completed and primed. The edge breaking was a concern for me - if that is messed up it is very visable. So bought the best tool to do it and gave it my best effort - luckilly the first trials are on the bottom skins!!

Evening again.

Yes Rudi - not put together though until the wings are done - will need space for the wings in this small areas first

Some more photos after the priming and edge breaking, all was put together again and rivetted together. Side skins next.
