Versatility

Unread post by Sideslip » Thu May 09, 2013 10:29 pm

- “May I help you sir?”

- “Yes .. I’m looking for an really rugged yet affordable aircraft to head out into the bush. What do you recommend?”

- “Ahh sir, have you considered a BushCat?”

- “Hmmm .. the BushCat ... We actually I am looking for something that’s inexpensive to run and easy to maintain.”

- “Yes sir ........ the BushCat”

- “I am undecided about whether to go for a taildragger or a nosewheel aircraft at this stage.”

- “The BushCat comes in nose wheel or tail wheel config sir.”

- “I want to be able to fly with the doors off in summer but it must be equipped with a cabin heater for winter”

- “The BushCat sir ...... it is just as comfortable in all climates”

- “But the problem is I also would like an amphibian.”

- “Problem sir?”

Lots of weight shift trikes available for sale much cheaper
than what you can build them for.

See the microlighters forum

Brakes my friend, proper brakes for an otherwise great aircraft.
That is the issue here!
Alas.......no action from the factory for more than a 100 Cheetah pilots.

I have had the privilege of receive the latest BushCat and have no problems obviously with the new breaking system. But AWACS why don't you approach Walter or Mike at Springs and ask about upgrading your brakes on the old model cheetahs to the hydrolic set up?

It is what they currently offering on the BushCat so they should for sure and replys will be slow while they busy in Oshkosh, but the factory is very helpful indeed.

Sure BL.
But please take into consideration that the Bushcat is a new product that need sales.
The issue with the Cheetah fleet is ....customer support.

You better hope the is no follow-up on the Bushcat then maybe you will understand what I mean....not meaning to blast mike and the guys but its reality unfortunately.
We will approach them and report back on the Forums...
