Calling all Cheetah owners

Cheetah owners (the NTCA type that is)

As a new one to the fold, I have many questions and the literature is thin. How many of us are there on Avcom? Is there a large enough group to request a separate discussion group as per the few other such that have been granted this status on the forum?

My favorite airplane. Yes I had one heck of a time trying to gather info on it - because nobody seems to really have any issues (except the brakes) info seems to be scarse) There is a couple of threads on microlighters but a dedicated one here would be nice.

Thank you Flying!!!!!

Rod... I own Cheetah No.18 ZU-CXO

The trusty old steed has 1035 hours and still going strong.

Only gripes - brakes (but sorted that out with better cables) and at higher altitudes better to have a stronger engine than a 582!

Welcome to FUN FACTOR! :D

Hi Guys,
I own Cheetah 097 - ZU-MRH, took delivery June 2008, and with the kind help of Steve McCurach flew her from Springs to Balito in just over 3 hours on half a tank of gas, as you can imagine weather was perfect for flying and had a nice tail wind most of the way, pity about the brass monkey morning at Springs. Once off the ground and in the air it warmed up nicely. Dave Daniels, of La Mercy fame, got me coverted from my trike, very patient instructor Dave is, and I now enjoy flying from Balito, only 1 Cheetah so far on the north coast but soon to be 2 as Rod Green should soon finish his kit build in a couple of weeks.
I am absolutely loving flying the Cheetah, now that I know how.
Regards
Mark.

Just got back from an hour of crosswind landings (10knots) at FAPM on runway 16. Nice bit of shear  before the threshhold as usual but it was very good practice :D :D

Mark,

When i am legal will come and visit at Ballito, couple of months to go still.

Allan
