So Cage your saying that CR doesn’t really have a finger in the pie in regards to EWC? It’s not what HE wants, it’s the ANC

The grey area that is being tested may very well be saved by the interpretation of the legal community?

You really have an uncanny ability to window dress a turd.

What they gonna do with the 139 farms?
Add it to the long list of farms they haven’t distributed yet?

Jel, we would need to see what the proposed wording is and how that is interpreted by the legal community.
There already is a lot of grey in the current law which is why the government's original approach was to test the constitution, as is the case with the 139 farms that are already under dispute with the land council.
Like with brexit... the uncertainty has and is doing more damage than possibly the act itself...many people make plans which either can’t be undone or are too far gone to undo... either way I think much of the damage it’s doing is irreversible. Without a significant swing the other way sa is damaged goods and Cyril’s govt cannot afford a swing the other way to appease investors enough to make them comfortable.

Brexit companies are moving NOW out of fear and are unlikely to move back. Investors are scared in sa... prices are down and I would guess food production is is slowing, farmers won’t invest and so we begin a vicious cycle which clicks three down and some positive will click one up... fact is still two down.

No matter how optimistic one is, many decisions are based on sentiment and sa has since ‘94 been on the backfoot in this regard...

You mean taking into account Chinese terms and conditions of which we are yet to know the terms?

"Mokono to Sakeliga: names of 139 farms won’t be made public"
https://www.thesouthafrican.com/mashile ... ms-public/

But back at the ranch (excuse the pun), the list is available on Afriforum:
Farms identified for expropriation:
https://www.afriforum.co.za/expropriation/

List shows 195 farms unless some are duplicates for example 191 and 192 is a duplicate

Very very slow. Either inundated with viewers wanting to view the list or some DDOS attack.
Here the list attached.

https://citizen.co.za/news/south-africa ... pensation/

More in the news article, I only quoted a portion.
.......It’s understood that many of those who spoke at the public hearings were in favour of changing the constitution. An estimated 2,700 people made oral submissions at hearings attended by about 24,000 people.

However, the ANC top six are reportedly furious that ANC branches allegedly spent too much time focusing on the public hearings instead of written submissions, the submissions deadline for which ended in June.

The committee has reportedly received more than 700,000 written submissions on the matter; the vast majority are understood to be against land expropriation without compensation, according to a senior source in the ANC that Rapport describes as completely reliable.

The ANC, which allegedly wants to push through constitutional changes to section 25 with the help of the EFF before next year’s elections, is understood to have a plan to now instruct its branches to engage in large-scale submissions in favour of land expropriation without compensation, hoping to increase the perception of wider-scale public support for their plan.....

So how do I read it?
Those attending the hearings are mostly random individuals. Some literate, some not.

The written submissions done via organised actions.

So now the ANC need to force their way through and will order the comrades to get more than 700k submitted in writing in favour of expropriation. By hook or crook.

^%$& !
Sorry to hear, hope things will work out well for you.

One question though, is your farm a farm that you can pinpoint the reason why specifically yours?
ie, could be used for township expansion, or some underground minerals or real farming and handing farm over to a BBEEE farmer? From their perspective of course.
Neighbours also effected?
