Someone should take the time to write to the Mayors of such towns and explain that if they offered a permanent residency in Italy to Saffers with the houses - they would be achieving their goals quite fast ……...

I was chatting to my 38 year old son last night. In the past 2 weeks he has been to 5 farewell parties of his mates. This week another 2 are leaving SA. All of them are software developers of similar age.

Yup.. good for them =D> =D> =D>
There are a lot of countries willing to take on qualified people with good work ethic.

Pity some countries have their collective heads stuck up their own rears... their loss and deservedly so.

Thats no lie. If I look and see how many try to get out of SA but have difficulties due to insufficient qualifications, etc to get work/work permit.

But there are so many options out there in the world to go to. Just a small amount of money and start a business....
.
Don't believe what I post, research what I post....
They have a book on how to take my money away? When did this happen......

Houses for 1 Euro in Italy (mainland)

Here is an article with links to the relevant authorities.
You never know your luck,

Perhaps a letter / asking for a residence permit if you buy the house will be the way to go ?
It would be a unique way to get into the EU without further hassles

ACE,

I am in contact with at least 4 families that wish to leave - but simply do not have the qualifications / age / funding to go.
No second passport - asset poor and no cash to buy themselves into a Visa …….. worked most of their lives and have very little to show for it.
Scared of the prospect of having to "retire" on a hand to mouth level - and at the age of 50 - to 55 still capable of re-starting" their lives.

If this is a way for them to get into the EU and give them a perspective - why not.

As an aside :
You probably also have a HK ID card / will you get a PR after 7 years ?
Or is that not available for aircrew...?

Eddie,

I have another one :

https://1eurohouses.com/case-a-1-euro-a-montieri/

The various villages are all over the country - even in Tuscany and Piemonte !!

I have written an Email to the council in Tuscany - asking whether they would provide a Permanent Residence visa to potential applicants.
I will keep you posted …….

If someone wants the email / contact addresses (in the link above you can find the various councils and a map of the locations.)

At the end of the day - Architects - planning and drawing …/ Builders - Doing the actual stacking of mortar ….. / Sparkies ……. etc
Perhaps this is the way for those with less capital.

ACE,

Bad flight ??
No idea what this is all about ……. :?
I was not criticising or commenting on your opinion in any way ........ no idea why you think that ......

As for the PR in HKG - an old friend flies for JetStar and asked whether aircrew were eligible for a PR after 7 years …..
I did not know - so I asked someone whom I know is over there...….. you.
