TV about to change in SA

Bet you 100 bucks 99% of DSTV subs are only there for the sport channels. Nobody in their right mind would pay what DSTV asks for the crap they dish out daily.
Due to the price increase in ammunition, do not expect a warning shot.

I have been watching Netflix, using Spotify and enjoying some nice live streaming for a while now.
I have a "UK" ip adress and an international Paypal account.
I use a Google Chromecast to use my iPhone as controller.

I've watched it on 850Kbps but the quality was horrible and buffering took ages. Currently in 4Mbps and it's perfect.

I find Hulu better in both TV programming and bandwidth requirements.
Netflix has more movies, but many are 10+ years old.
There is also HBO Now for 1 day old HBO programes and many newish movies

I dunno what DSVT, but DStv is MultiChoice's digital satellite TV service in Africa, launched in 1995, providing various bouquets offering general entertainment, movies, lifestyle & culture, sport, documentaries, news etc.

Think you have that wrong, SARS would never allow competition.
If ever in doubt about flying - drink a beer.
That will give you at least 8 hours to think about it some more.

I'm using a Cloudgate PC (little Android) to watch Netfix & other stuff, 4mbps line. Perfect, plus there are a few free Android movie apps as well.
To the stars..... and beyond!

My Samsung TV's have native clients for Netflix, hulu etc. For the ones that don't I use appleTV.
Unfortunately my preferred media player - Raspberry PI2 running OSMC - lacks netflix support but hopefully that will become available through html5 at some point.
Netflix is good, just the depth of content seems to be lacking. I will give hulu's free trial a whirl today.
