Today there is even a article on Network24 where they promise to pay you 700 Euro/m for 3 years to come and populate a dying town.....but you must stay for 5 years(or pay back) and start a business there.
Politics attracts crooks and lawyers, most of the time its the same person.

Marius,

They did this (on TV) in Ollolai in Sardinia - and it was a success.

They had a similar stint here in Spain in Mamola (Polopos) and they "imported" some Dutch couples.
Worked like a charm.
1 opened an Art studio
1 opened a small supermarket (all were closed in town)
1 started a handyman service
1 started a wine export business from the region
and the last one started a B&B.

I have written to a council in Tuscany and to the council in Polopos/Mamola to ask whether e Permanent Residence would be included - and whether there were any farms (small holdings) available ……. producing produce is also a business …..

These are scams/exploitation's as far as I'm concerned.
In cash strapped countries you'll find these very 'attractive schemes', but it's no better than SA trying to attract 'non locals' that are non the wiser.
It's world wide and Ireland is also no better.

If you come in with 'in demand' high qualifications, you play your cards close to your chest and chose your alliances carefully.
One thing is for sure... Strict Fair Employment Rules generally rule the roost in the EU.
Get to know your local labour law, your situation, and you'll find your employer is generally above board/fair in this case.

Well,

Thankfully you have seen the whole plot...…. #-o
I mean - how would one otherwise recognize such a scheme to deceive people - lure them with attractive schemes and then dupe them into low wages within the EU and not visible to the authorities ........ ?
They did it with great caution though ......... they only made a running series on RTL 4 - which was broadcasted in the Benelux - but apparently only 9 Million people or so watched it - so the secret was safe ….. I mean - one could have a diligent guy somewhere that understood the subterfuge …..

All a scam - don't worry about it any further ……..
It has been "revealed" now ......
