Now is the time to buy. Unfortunately i bought when it was around the R200k mark IIRC. Still sitting with them
From a TA POV not sure the market has bottomed yet.

From a Fundamental trading POV there's also the concern that there are now +-160 cryptocurrencies in existence (I read this somewhere but it's not confirmed). Not sure to what extent this will dilute the market for Bitcoin, although it has first mover status.

So currently hanging out until some sort of pattern/understanding emerges ...

Also just not sure why the enthusiasts aren't talking it up?

 Shock horror - while the Tech Analysis is suggesting a possible buy soon given the current price around $3,5k (has the market bottomed?) I came across a piece of information that gives me pause for serious thought: there are over 1 000 cryptocurrencies that have been created.

Man, that's scary.

Haven't really looked at it, but couldn't you just buy gold futures?

That would be simpler than working, effectively, through a facilitator (One Gram) because then you'd have to have a serious look at the financial status of the One Gram people. Just a bit nervous about unregulated startups ...

The other thing is that (on a very quick look so open to correction) they're linking the crypto to the price of gold but that doesn't mean they're actually backed their crypto currency with real gold holdings? Not sure about this ...

They say they have backed it with a gram of gold for each coin purchased, so you never go below what ever one gram of gold costs.

Well they claim it is Sharia compliant, the only crypto currency that is, opening a potentially huge market. When it comes online there may be a huge initial demand which should cause a spike...so if you get in low you may be in the pounds seat initially.
