Regrets about life's choice's ...... not really.
I made them - based on the knowledge and insight I had at that time - and lived with the consequences of those choices - so - no real regrets or looking back at those choices with regret - as the information I had at that moment would make me make the same choices again.

What I regret is not expressing the appreciation and gratitude that I have for people that cared for me / trained me / helped me - assisted me - during my lifetime and career enough at the time. Some have passed and I would give anything to be able to thank them - with hindsight realizing what their efforts / love / care and insights meant to my life.

Not hanging on to every car, motorbike and boat I ever owned back in the day when they were merely "ordinary" and did not fetch crazy money!

MG TC 1946
MGB
Triumph TR3
Triumph TR4A
Lotus Cortina Mk1 with A-frame and ally panels
Austin Healy 3000
Jaguar MkII 3.4 ltr
Jaguar MkII 3.8 ltr
Jaguar 420
Jaguar E-type 3.8 Flat floor
Lotus Elite
Lotus Elan
Lotus 7
AC Cobra 289 - the original with flattened wheel arches and wire wheels
Honda CB77
BSA Rocket Gold Star
Matchless 650
Sunbeam Tiger 260
Austin Mini racer 1293cc
AC Cobra replica
Simmonds all-aluminium inboard-engined speedboat
Albatross speedboat

Many of these today would fetch in the millions of Rands - not back then though!

But of course even with amazing foresight, how do you keep them in condition without also spending a fortune on storage etc over all these years?

Sheesh, I would regret having spent money on all those cars instead of 1 or 2 very cool aircraft!

Agreed - but these, except for the AC Cobra replica which I built 1988-1992 were all long before the flying bug bit!

Also most of them were not big money at the time, far from it!

Being 30 and I have never traveled outside of the South African boarders. Not one stamp in my passport.
Spent a lot of money on cars and bikes but never left any to travel.
Busy saving for Osh 2020 to fix that :D

Rare bird - I thought the same, until I returned from a business trip from the Congo in 2004 and found that the place where I lived down the KZN South coast was rife with Congo Fever - I was one of the few that was inoculated before it became an issue....

I tell my kids - you (tend) ONLY to regret the things you didn't do...

1. An afternoon with a beauty queen (known her for years - found out later just how keen she had been)

2. An afternoon with a top SA model (I just had no confidence back then !!!)

3. The chance to be a male dancer at a strip club (girl I was seeing at the time was a stripper - one of her male dancers didn't pitch for a Ladies Night at Bella Napoli - she asked me to stand in. Problem was that i knew half the girls in the audience - would have been awkward) (I was a reasonable break-dancer - how I met the stripper in the first place).

4.Carry the baggage of my fathers betrayel for soooooo many years. Should have moved on just like he did.

5. Took so long to quit drinking. 17 years tee-totaller now - just wish I had quite even 5 years earlier.

6. Declared myself an 'alcoholic' when I did my National Service (on my brothers advice). As a result did not get picked for officers course, which I later wished I had done, since I headed up the entire DGenie architectural office of Lieuts even though they left me as a troopie (didn't even get stripe when I klaared out !?).

I find I enjoy my life considerably more as I get older.
