Maybe you should avoid the shade!

Was there this time last year - similar temps.
Problem is, very few buildings with aircons, heaters a plenty. Hotels issued us with small desk fans to move the hot air around!
Then came a beer shortage threat, THAT was scary...

Nor according to that wise, (supposedly-)presidential character whose name I detest even writing -- the one who resides in The White House! (You all know who I mean! T-rump may be a new cut of beef? Or reverse the -r and the -u, transmogrify the -m into -n + -i and soon you can make turnip out of his name!) (And I wonder if his hairdo would sag in that heat down in southern Spain?) :P (I just call him "arschloch"!)

Poor Europeans.
I remember being in London in July 1975 as a youngster. It was 32 degrees with a "heatwave" as they called it, with 100+ deaths reported from the heat  .
Being from SA, I was just comfortable, enjoying London.
But the Brits went crazy. The fountain on Trafalgar square was filled with people in swimwear.
In the parks there were thousands of girls in bikinis lying on the grass. :P
I just could not understand the frenzy. :? #-o

I then went to Paris and back to London 2 weeks later. Cold weather had moved in and I was freeeezing. But the Brits were happy. Everything was back to normal.

The funny thing is: I moved from Germany to SA in 1985 because of the weather (and biltong). Lived in Muenster, north western Germany. Sunshine very rare. Really rare. Sometimes no sun at all for many months - just the same featureless gray sky every day.

Now I am living in Somerset West and last summer the temps rarely went much over 30. I suppose in the end it was still the right choice. Not too cold, not to hot. Just right...

Hope it stays that way.

My brother lives in the Netherlands and was saying this morning that last night at 11pm it was still 30deg.
Every now and then he hear ambulances. People battle in the heat because it is not only the heat, it is extremely humid.

Don't believe what I post, research what I post....
