SAA drug bust, Again

Unread post by Swartbok » Thu Oct 03, 2019 4:37 pm

I’ve just read a Timeslive article that an SAA pilot and cabin crew were allegedly bust with 18,3kg cocaine in Hong Kong. It’s reported as the largest drug trafficking case for a flight crew member.

I don’t understand that when a person (SAA pilot in particular) has such a nice job earning very good money would risk it all.

Apologies if it’s an old article, but it states it happend in late September.

Swartbok, here's a link to an article on News24, and it only mentions two flight attendants: https://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News ... s-20191002

Maybe you can post a link to the article you are referring to?

I’m not tech savvy enough but, Yeah, seems it was cabin crew.

My old man was a Skipper on two similar flights (cabin crew were bust), everyone of the crew was detained and now everytime he crosses border has the pleasure to answer questions for an hour or two before being allowed in that country.

I’m not to tech savvy, so don’t know to attach a pic from my phone, but Timeslive specifically state a pilot and cabin crew, also with photos, in SAA pilot uniform.

  he extracted semen(t), without your permission.

It’s a bloody pain, these interviews. Like looking for a job (even after retirement) all because of (another) person with constitutional rights.

Ever wondered how those in power today funded their movement? I see in the news the lady who spent 8 years in jail in Thailand for smuggling drugs was welcomed home like a returning war hero and will now be employed by the guvmint to educate others.
