Bird Strike

Unread post by chrisnic » Fri Jan 11, 2019 9:02 pm

Hi Everyone

I am very sad to post this but also blessed to be able to post this after having survived a bird strike. https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/wiki.php?id=220647

Short video: 15 seconds before my bird strike. And the rest is history.

Safe flying to all and a blessed 2019.

Regards

Hi Chrisnic,
Having met you in person makes it more emotional for me. There is/was a thread here on your bird strike, i think your son posted most of the time.

It can happen to anyone at any time. Even thought you lost your sight and will never pilot an aircraft solo again, you are very fortunate to have survived. A pitty that the video is so short and does not actually include the incident after contact.

All the best good man and keep your chin up Sir =D> =D> =D>

Thank you for your comments "Rotor Kop".

We had a GoPro facing forward recording which was stolen they think by local police.

A pity.
