Flight time and Flight Duration

Unread post by yesbhobho » Sat Feb 09, 2019 12:33 pm

I remember being asked the difference between the two quiet a lot whilst still in flight school.I then tried to look it up again in the regs today and i notice that they only list flight time now. Is there any reason for this?

“flight time – aeroplanes” means the total time from the moment an aeroplane first moves for the purposes of taking off until the moment it finally comes to rest at the end of the flight

“flight” means from the moment an aircraft commences its take-off until the moment it completes its next landing

Thank you. So basically the word, duration, was removed or I've had it twisted all this time?
