This is very sad. I built up some 50 hours in her after initial PPL back in 94.
She was referbished a few years ago after an accident at Middleburg,
and had a lovely leather interior fitted then.
Glad no serious injuries, but i'll bet the pilot has some sore bruises!

IMHO Pilot was very lucky. There was still fuel dripping out the tanks the next morning  Its not the easiest aircraft to get out of (especially upside down), since there's only one door on the passenger side.

Did Freedom Air buy it from the insurance?

Here is the thing, exactly the same thing happened at the same airfield around 4 years ago, and why I remember, I wanted to do a touch and go with a licence renewal, and the de said abort, and land at another airfield more favorable to a nose wind. Learnt a good lesson that day, as my experience levels where still on the low side. The very next day it happened to someone else. Glad pilot is ok.

I had a couple of hours on CBB. A docile lovely little plane. If I remember correctly the mishap happened because of inexperience and touchdown with a lot of flying speed at hand.
She looks beautiful and I thought it's a total write-off!
