Citabria 7ECA, rebuilt in 1998 by Russell Phillips, and re-registered as an experimental aircraft, type X-242 Airbatic. Modifications include a reduced pregnant look, Bungee undercarriage, clear perspex door, and glass cockpit.

Is this not the airie that Russel put a Honda 1800cc motor into - about 1995 or 1996?
Somewhere I have a pic of it standing in the pouring rain outside the terminal at EAA Margate of that year.

Nope... That one was white with the red starburst pattern. This one was built shortly afterwards.

Thanks - I thought maybe that the engine had been changed back to standard and a repaint done.

That Honda engine ended up in the GK1 -( viewtopic.php?f=182&t=83860&p=1004755&h ... 1#p1004755 ), so I'm guessing that that Citabria was refitted with a Lycoming again.
