As far as I know, some of the earlier Phantoms had the ESC's built into the motors... the later ones not. I( could be wrong. Try speaking to the guys at www.droneworld.co.za
Those guys do repairs to phantoms so they should know. You may have to change the motors as well to suit the ESC's.
