All gifts are wonderful, especially local aviation magazines.
And spirits that have an "e" when they really shouldn't.
And socks and underpants.
The crap that people grab off the last minute gift shelf at the supermarket because they forgot to get something earlier.
It's all about the giving.
Let's all hold hands and sing a xmas song

... (back to subject...) When hinting at a nice Churchill cigar, and you get a pack of those bluddy pencil-thin Ritmeester abominations instead
People want to give you something and the best place is to start with stuff they think you like, if you are an enthusiast in some area then they feel a need to give you something you may like but that they don't understand or could afford so disappointment inevitably follows.
A good gift is about the thought and effort that goes into it, a kak one is the complete opposite.
Time is valuable, so personally, when someone gives you some of theirs then that is a good gift.
Memories last, gifts rarely do.
I put a lot of thought into it and will get cage a subscription this his favourite magazine!
I don't want anything as a gift, my wife and my family knows. When she does want to get me something, she will ask me. I do however get a lot of joy out of giving to them and others and I usually have a good idea what they want (they normally drop enough hints! ).
In stead of paying traffic fines, I also donate the same amount to animal welfare!
Every dog needs a home and every home needs a dog (or two or three).
