Life after Camit ?

So what are the Bat Hawks fitting now that Camit has exited the market, this is not a trick question...... Seriously would like to know.......

Rotax 912, or bigger if buyer wishes.

And what about the UL engines? Are they not a good air cooled alternative?

Anybody had experience with them? I spoke to a guy in the US that raved about the engine, he claimed it was a lighter version of the classic very reliable Lycoming...FADEC and a nice choice of power versions. And somewhat cheaper than a Rotax.

Bought an Explorer Mk1 from Kitplanes for Africa with a 97hp UL engine. Philip Cronjé from Bundu Aviation is the SA
agent and he did the first service- wherafter I did the regular oil and filter changes. I sold it not for any other reason but itching.
I loved the simplicity- like your car- turn the key and go. No choke, mixture or carb heat. Starts immediately- hot or cold.
In the USA, they are sought after. Not cheap to buy though....
