WTF is going at Cemair or between Cemair and the CAA?
In the battle between aeroplanes and the ground. The ground has yet to lose.

Aviation would be great, if it wouldn't be for passengers.

It would appear the manufacturer was also involved. Unless I’m misreading the press statement.

Airwayfreak .....

Bad formulation on my side it seems - so the sarcasm is wasted.

I was attempting to warn our informed friend Peter John that he may find that some will not like the facts he is going to post (as he seemingly has all the insight / knows the technical details and fully understands the situation) ...... as a follow up to the "keep it up" ....

Thanks for that. I was hoping you had some factual information pertaining to several conspiracy theories doing their rounds. This whole saga reminds me of my time as a CIA assassin. If I tell you the facts I'll have to kill you. Thank goodness all my records were deleted

Not questioning the facts CAA may have but what if they applied the same scrutiny and regulation to all airlines in SA...? I suspect road traffic may increase..!

Premature .........ing there! Posting nothing of the sort. Made a statement re immediately pooh poohing the SACAA suspension. States what they know to be facts..so will leave it at that. See nothing to the contrary..anywhere. Concerned?!? An alias perhaps? :-k :-k

There's that same reasoning based on personal perception rearing it's head again implying bias.
It was posted here that the some of the fleet was grounded, these guys were sanctioned as it was an unproven allegation which has from the CAA document been shown to be true, yet the perpetually negative can make accusations against the regulator unabated. How about some even handed moderation? Prove your claim or have it removed.

It is fascinating how some of the regulars pontificate about who they will and won't fly with, perfect pilots need only apply. Yet, with their favorite charity case will ignore a growing stink that envelopes the organization because of regulatory bias. Yet, anyone that flies a tad low must be reported to the same regulator to be immediately dealt with.
Logic doesn't add up.

6. During the audit, the SACAA also learnt that an aircraft manufacturer had given CemAir an assessment of their aircraft maintenance schedule with findings and recommendations on what the operator needed to do in order to get the maintenance status of their fleet on track, and worryingly the operator could not produce sufficient evidence to authenticate that all recommendations were fully implemented. Ignoring manufacturer’s recommendations is not only bizarre but is also a very serious and dangerous omission that should be avoided at all cost by any licence-holder.
This appears the core of the CAA's issues and these are manufacturers recommendations not compulsory ADs or even SBs. So have they grounded the airline for not meeting recommendations?
And yet again why ground it on a Friday after close of business - surely one can only conclude that it was to cause maximum harm to the airline and the stranded pax? - and to keep the airline grounded again until it can once again get an urgent court order to stop the CAA?

• something to do,
• and something to hope for
