Guys just to let you know, I have experienced excellent service lately, renewing my PPL.
I paid the fee, filled in the forms, summarised my logbook and sent them scanned copies via email. I immediately received an emailed acknowledgement of receipt via email with a commitment that I would hear back from them within 7-10 working days. On day 8 or 9 I received an email confirming that the license was ready for collection. I got Aviation Assist to do so and courier it down to me.
When I opened the envelope I see it contained the new card-type license with a QR code on it which is readable by phone and has all of the license information on it.
I really think this is very good and professional service, making it easy for me to do the renewals and a big step forward in terms of technological improvement and moving with the times/going paperless.
I am really happy and think we should give credit where credit is due.
