The Russian IL76 departing Cape Town , would that have been the weekly Antarctic shuttle flight going home at end of season ?

For Westair?
Those delivery flights on regional jets must be one hell of an adventure!! Great Falls > Chicago (Rockford, although dare I say, Rockford is a long way from Chicago) > Goose Bay > Reykjavik > Nantes > Sao Tome > Windhoek.

There is a great series on ferry flying on YouTube called Cockpit Casual by the channel speedtapefilms. Itβs quite eye opening how much logistics is required for these sorts of flights.

Re: The Flightradar 24 interesting traffic thread
Yes sir. Just checked now, Winter there lasts until October
I admit, I should of phrased my original comment better.
I was wondering if the IL-76 crew have watched the news at all, the whole time they've been outside of Russia

Absolutely BRILLIANT YouTube channel. Incredibly down to earth bunch of guys. Pretty incredible that Steve is current (6 monthly OPC) on 9 big jets.trees wrote: βMon Mar 21, 2022 10:06 amThere is a great series on ferry flying on YouTube called Cockpit Casual by the channel speedtapefilms. Not so sure - it is far off the normal routing from early in the flight. Seems planned.
