Re: New Cargo Airline for South Africa
Lead aircraft is a 727-200F. Is that a typo, perhaps?? I didn't think there were either any 727-200s still flying, or the flight engineers to go with them. Or am I missing something here?

Atleast one has been in and out of ORTIA on many cargo flights in the last year
Data suggests that, as of February 2022, 38 Boeing 727s are active across 23 carriers. With the type first entering service in 1963 and its last example produced in 1984, the youngest-possible 727 is now approaching 40 years old.

Astral has a B727, 5Y-NIV. Their other one, 5y-MWM has been sold to a South Sudan company.
Astral apparently getting another B727 from the US as well.
