In the battle between aeroplanes and the ground. The ground has yet to lose.
Aviation would be great, if it wouldn't be for passengers.

I am not convinced that is the case with Josh Cahill.marius scheepers wrote: Wed Jan 10, 2024 2:56 pm Have you guys actually watched his other videos?? He givers praise where it is due and point out problems as he sees it, so none of you guys agree with anything he said or pointed out??
I think Josh Cahill and Noel Phillips gives pretty honest reviews none of those have taken any freebies to give a good review unlike Sam Chui.

Difference being that Sam Chui doesn't go around looking to for clickbait. He acknowledges the freebies and does some interesting content.marius scheepers wrote: Wed Jan 10, 2024 2:56 pm Have you guys actually watched his other videos?? On the other hand, Cahill and Phillips go around just doing weird things waiting until they find something to critique. They don't disclose what they do or don't receive for saying and not saying things. Rumour has it, at least on the corporate side of airlines is that many of these guys basically run around looking for something that might get some attention and then somewhat extort the airlines to not publish things.

Right, while continuously bashing Cahill and other terrible reporters for their bad content is fun, if I may, I would like to recommend some good YouTubers you can watch for their insightful and well-covered trip reports.
Simply Aviation
OnBoard HD
The Layover Aviation
Razgriz Flight and Spotting
iTripReport
Countless other very small channels, including myself
I highly suggest supporting these YouTubers so that they can produce more quality and actually helpful reports, and hopefully drown out the bad voices tarnishing the airline reviewing scene.

You think Phillips does that? I found him to be quite enjoyable and humble.evanb wrote: Sun Jan 14, 2024 8:19 amDifference being that Sam Chui doesn't go around looking to for clickbait. I actually really enjoy him too. He's got a great and quirky sense of humour and really enjoys some exotic routes. But it's a business and weird and wonderful things get clicks. He does have this knack of being overly critical in a manner where he compares some exotic airlines to a very high standard.Joker11 wrote: Sun Jan 14, 2024 11:53 pm You think Phillips does that? But I assume that all the guys who have a lot of content have business relationships with airlines. When they're getting invites for otherwise unbookable inaugurals it's safe to say they have business relationships. Maybe not getting paid in cash, but they're getting "high yield" content as in kind payment. When that's the case, there are implicit conflicts.
