Radio Licence renewals for 2013-2014 year

Called ICASA today to follow up as we also NOT got our invoice yet.
We were told and i quote "have you not been watching TV news, there are strikes. We are not responsible for that..."
ICASA how hard would it be to just email us all the invoice so we can pay and get things moving.
You would save thousands of rands, make people less angry and maybe even have some efficiency in doing things rather than this nightmare each year.

ICASA at the rate you going all ZA Aircraft will be without legal radio licenses soon.

Like a good boy I have e-mailed my application with all required documents, unlike Chris I have not received an automated message response- have received no response at all.
So we wait?

I e-mailed my applications end January. Phoned them today and they e-mailed me the invoices, which were posted but have not arrived yet. I paid and sent back the deposit slips. Now hopefully if the post office wakes up I might get the licences...

I would be happy if I get ANY written response - as proof that i have done the right thing. But till now, ZERO response. I have e-mailed the application in Feb, and again in March.

Emailed her and had scanned copies of my invoices emailed to me within 1/2 hour.
Seriously impressive stuff !!!

Only thing is that the invoices are for R120.00 each and make no mention of the pre-paid discounted option

I went to ICASA this morning and met Tracey. Had my copy invoice in seconds. She confirmed that she has been inundated.

She asked that we use specrev@icasa.org.za to share the load. Apparently this email address is distributed to 6 people so you should get an answer more quickly.

You are far too nice.....

They are supposed to contact us, that is what the Form B was all about, according to their interpretation. PO Strike... really. Not my problem. Serve us with a virtual 7 day notice of all sorts of cancelling of licences and then hide behind a PO strike......... Since when did the PO control e-mail?

Any bets that by end March they will still not have contacted us at all.

Mods deleted my last Rant - interesting just how much of it has since come to pass.

Wow - just got an email from Tracey, on a Saturday. Awesome !!!!

Of course, the details have not been updated, despite 2attempts to do so, in addition to the notorised form b we all had to run around doing, but hey, can't expect miracles....
