EAA Chapter 322 Meeting - Wed 6 Feb, Dowerglen, Edenvale.

Unread post by vintageflyer »

Please be reminded that our EAA Chapter 322 Johannesburg monthly meeting takes place on Wednesday 6 February at the Dickie Fritz MOTH Hall in Dowerglen, Edenvale. There is plenty of secure parking.
Should you require directions, send me a PM with your email address, and a map will be provided.
Refreshments from the full bar with light meals and tea and coffee will be available from 18h00.
The meeting starts promptly at 19h00.
After the brief business of the Chapter, there will be a presentation by Butch Hannay from Shell South Africa and Dylan vd Merwe on aviation lubricants, their purpose and how they should be treated.
Butch and Dylan will cover detail and reasons about renewal requirements and how lubricants can be abused. We have asked them to discuss other salient information pilots need to know about the qualities of lubricants, the efficacy of mulitgade oils, straight and ashless dispersant oils and viscosity are some factors that will be addressed.
We hope to be enlightened on Avgas replacement progress and plans for this by Shell and the future of Avgas availability down the line.

Although the presentation might seem very technical, it is most likely to be entertaining as well.
Visitors are welcome, so come along and enjoy the camaraderie and fun of EAA.

To All That Fly
May God grant you blue skies aloft, With winds of calm by land, As you play on the outskirts of heaven, On the fragile wings of man.
