On the Kit pricing, we can shave off the VAT for now as we are not VAT registered at this stage . I am changing suppliers on some items and that will also have a positive influence on both the kit and Factory built models.

We are speaking to a local CNC engineering company to give us a price on aluminium wheels, disc brakes complete with calipers, master cylinders and a park brake. This will be better priced than imported goods, and will make things easier on the end user`s pocket

Finally after some deliberation , and advice from a friend in the industry , and number crunching , we have a Kit price, please call for a quote or send us an email. Details below.
The only imported item on this aircraft is the engine, which will be quoted separate to the kit.

Bear in mind this kit will :
1) have the construction of the wings done,
2) have the ailerons constructed,
3) and the lift-struts drilled to ensure correct dihedral on both wings.
The fabric, nitrate dope + butyrate dope + fabric cement will be included.
4)CNC machined wheels and hydraulic disc brakes , 6 inch rims.
5)All polycarbonate glass cut to exact shape and size, saving you time.

Firewall forward quoted separate, reason being cowls and engine mount differ with different engine installations.

We have 2 kits of the MK2 Cubby, almost ready to ship, should a buyer arise Delivery time is approx 4-6 weeks.

Can you take any existing Cubby and add the new rudder, the new rakier windscreen and the new fully enclosed cowling to existing models.
Also how much are we talking about roughly?

Bugs, the nose of the MK2 Cubby is wider and higher than the old model. Also the enclosed engine cowl will only work on the VW engine Cubby if one retro fits with a Carburetor, losing the fuel injection system shaves off 15kg, and the carb with manifold ads 4kg. 11kg saved in weight.
I am sure one can make it work on the older Cubby, but one will have to be quite handy. A new wider and higher firewall is a must, and one will have to install supports made of alu tubing for the bootcowl.
The bootcowl and new front screen go along with the new firewall and cowls.
Why not bring the aircraft to the factory for a full upgrade to the MK2, and have a front seat solo aircraft ?
