Captain/F/o CRM

Not a good start, 2nd try!

What annoys you most about the "other person" on the FD?

Lights too bright at night, talks on cellphone or doesn't brief?

Mine is not turning the loudspeaker volume down when using headsets!

But like v Vliet Iam a GOF.

The bugger won't retire or go work for another company so that I can get his job! :D :D

I must say I've also never had a problem with the guy in the other seat. Lets face it, even if he's not your favourite, humour the guy, you only have to do whatever flight you're on with him and go home. You don't have to braai with him or invite him to your christmas party, so just get on with him and enjoy the flight!

Must say I've never had a problem with CRM. We're a Crew, he's the Resource, and I Manage him... !! :D

Actually, it's always surprised me, given the number of people I've flown with over the years, just how few have really irritated me in the cockpit. (As per Tony's post, the reverse may not be true!) Maybe there's some truth in the physcobabble that most pilots fit a fairly standard mould - quite a depressing thought!

generic - are you the Eric vd Merwe from FAPE in the mid-80s, by any chance?

Iam indeed!

I never moan at the F/o just tell him politely what to do. I got pissed off with Capts when I
was and f/o but then u had to bite the bullet!

But is that in the spirit of good CRM?
