Free Tip - maybe wrong forum

Unread post by Francois Greeff » Fri May 24, 2013 4:08 pm

Free, mahala, gratis, niks Just a tip when selling or buying equipment.
Hi guys
For you that don't know
I just bought something fro fellow Avcommer and I can see he struggled to remove double sided tape.
Get yourself some lighter fluid like Zippo, Rizzla, Ronson the cheapest, the liquid type and use it with cotton wool.
Squirt some some on, let it soak <2 min and rub with cottonwool.
It cleans it like a dream and it looks brandnew afterwards, it is paint safe, foam safe.
It leaves no oily residue or marks.
I even clean scuff marks from planes with it.
Any sticky labels, contact glue you name it.
I even clean plastic bowls from lables for my wife.
Enjoy

I'll add to your tip, but I'll charge a cent for it. Now its in the right forum. For newbies like me, get a Flymentor. I have two, and would not be able to learn without it. (Nobody close by to teach me that I know of.)
I have a T-Rex pro and a KDS 450SV, both with Flymentors. While on the subject, is it possible to stabilize a flybarred heli with a 3G or 3GX unit?

Yes, or can even just use the rudder channel, Same Allign 750 Gyro if you use the 3G from Align, also work great on scale 3/4/5 blade heads.

Rangsforafrica showed me to remove CA with nitromethane (the pure stuff, not mixed nitro fuel) - works really well!

No dudes what I find works best is peanut butter (the smooth kind), the tears of a tibetan yak and the gravitational pull of the moon. Gets the gunk off everytime :smt023
