call it stupidity call me a diekhead call it what you want, we all make mistakes
I wanted to start my 111 sbach this afternoon all by myself with no help ...big mistake
she flew with the working stand into my hand

I made a stupid mistake the throttle was open just to much
this engine has so much power

be carefull guys .....and like I always say no pain no gain..................... :oops: :oops: :oops:

Thanks for the advice! Looks bad but you are lucky. Could have been a lot worse. I had something simliar when my electric 40 size ultra stick started up and cut my leg badly due to the fail safe set to max throttle by default on an orange Futabe compatible RX . These RX's are so easy to set so SET THE FAIL SAFE TOO!!! [-X
When everything seems to be going against you, remember that an aeroplane takes off against the wind, not with it.

Sometimes we forget the basics - and that happens so fast! It could have been MUCH worse! My Multirotor attacked me the other day - also didn't do the basics... :-(

Thanks Guy's yip its scary and it could have been much worse, I hope i get over the shock quickly and swing the new prop soon :lol:
I've always been extra careful obviously not enough when swinging these big ones 50 and up

so kom dit nou met n klomp sms'e en n moewiese ge praat toe vra ek vanaand n mede pilot en friend as ek nou die nuwe prop optel vrydag of hy dit vir my sal swaai
ek meen my vinger is half af, hy se toe nooit not n flok swaai hy die prop nie.

nou wat staan ek te doen ..kry ek toe n beflokte idee ek hou vrydag aand n bring n tjop en swaai n prop by my huis :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

11 days later it's not doing as good as I hoped but the finger can move its been very painful and the healing is slow but it's getting there
