Ai Hennie. It was an accident and a bad experience. I think it was a very 'eina' lesson...but I know you learned it the hard way.

Don't give up and fly. And hopefully in future you will have a 100cc that you will fly. (With someone assisting when you start it).

All the best!

Hi Hennie

Don't get too discouraged. It was an accident and, truth be told, when you started the plane without it being secured, you knew it can be dangerous, and it was. So instead of turning away from the hobby, just carry this experience with you in the back of your head whenever you start a plane again.

I have basically broken every single bone in my body already including my skull, if I would stop doing things because of accidents, the only thing that would be left is staying in bed ;)

Lesson learned, now get out and fly!

Hi,
It took me two separate incidents of putting my hands too close to propellers (with the subsequent trips to the ER to get stitches etc) to learn that when
I am handling planes I must stay focused, and If I have too much on my mind then it is not a good idea to go flying.

That did not cause me to give up the hobby, the scars are reminders to be careful.

It is a personal decission, but if you really enjoy flying as much as you say then stick to it.

Brgds,
Danny

You can tell the story ja, but if they ask...did you ever fly it? Then it will be a sad 'no'...lol

Hennie moet nou oor die vrees kom en 'n 100cc vlieg!
