Japan Airlines orders A350's

Unread post by zulik »

The news broke on Monday, that JAL are the first to break the mould in Japan and order Airbus.

This is a huge order for Airbus who were basically shut out of the Japan airline market prior to this order. It also represents a massive blow to Boeing who had the monopoly on the Japanese market.

I see that the order is split between 13 A350-1000's and 18 A350 -900's. No surprise with the number of 1000's as JAL currently operate 13 777-300ER's.

ANA, Peach, Jetstar are all operating Airbus and, in the case of ANA, have done so for years now.
