Well Boys,
it seems that we may end up having two possible opportunities to get together this year.
One of them is at the Nylstroom Taildragger fly-in in July and the other will be at Wings Park for
the annual EAA convention just outside East London.
I will try to make both of them and very excited about it too.
Cape Town boys can meet up with Roger in Mossel Bay and work their way up to East London.

Feelings?

cubby number 1 has had a revamp on it undercarriage and some some work done on the struts. All bolts changed to AN spec. Double inserts on the struts. Some new black pain for certain parts. Crush plates on the rims to prevent stress fractures around the bolts . Brakes services and new disc pads inserted. new wheel bearings put in . Cubby should be ready for the Nylstroom flyinn. Haven't flow in ages, really missing it.

TWO OPTIONS EXIST for all Cubby owners.

One is to go to Nylstroom Flyin July 18-20.
For those in the Jnb and Pta and surrounding areas, this will be a closer option for you.

For those that want something awesome,
EAA Convention at Wings Park outside of East London August 08-10.
This will give some great coastal flying and a chance to be amongst other aviators flying LSA's and homebuilts.
The EAA events are always tons of fun and lots to see and do and share.

CT boys will make it to Mossel Bay and then fly up with Roger to Wings Park.

Keep in touch.

seems like there is huge interest for the EAA Convention at Wings Park outside East London.
Cape boys chat with Roger in MosselBay,
Jhb boys chat with Craig. You are all welcome to stay over at out home in Margate on the way down and back up.
Coastal route always the most impressive.
Thinking of maybe staying at Wavecrest on Saturday night (fun reunion of a previous Cubby Fly-in).

let us know your feelings.

Its seems that there will be a few that are going to Nylstroom. Hope you all fly safe and have a wonderful time there.
Make us Cubby owners proud.

For the others that are planning to come up (from CT) or down (from Gauteng) for the EAA Convention at Wings Park,
I sure am looking forward to seeing you all.
Right now, we have commitments from Craig, Hans, Roger, Rob and myself with a few others that have shown huge interest.
We are hoping for Roland, Chris, Johan and Tyrone still to make final commitment. We may even have Pieter join us too.

That could be 10--that would be a huge turn-out of the Yellow flying machines--what an impact that would make.
Never in the History of EAA, would there have been so many Cubby's.

Lets make it happen.
Keep in touch.

So good to hear DVR is coming home. I delivered DVR to Cape Town all the way from Secunda (the original factory) Enjoy the flight down with Cubby friends.
When is this trip taking place?
