A Sabian Air Queen Air with King Air type windows ... looks great ...but a bit strange with piston engines.

Those aeries are proof that any monkey can operate a turbine but it takes a special skill to work a geared piston engine without it eating itself...
A man will fight for many things... Glory, his country, the glistening tear on a child's cheek........

But personally, I'd mud wrestle my mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn.

HeadTrauma,
I dont know where the Catalina came from but it was been parked outside at Rand for many years. As far as I know it is registered in Swaziland as 3D-CAT. Approx eight months ago it was moved into a hanger at Rand for refurbishing to be made airworthy, apparently for export to the US.

There have been other threads about it on Avcom so you might want to try using the search function to find out more info.
