Hopefully my Dak will be safely back in JHB by then...having said that, if your fuel is a good price, I may just stop off and support you in this regard...I'd rather support you guys with a 1 500 litre purchase than somebody I don't know...

The only problem I have is that the last time I tried visiting Wings Park....nobody was home...
I was not always this sarcastic.

It took me years of dealing with A-holes to get this good at it...

Great stuff Wingspark,

Many thanks for the efforts of Mike Wright and the entire Wings Park and Border Aviation Club guys that have grabbed this one by the horns, on behalf of EAA National it is highly appreciated. This is a Convention and in order to operate within the realms of a Fly in etc. its all about the interaction of any like minded aviation enthusiast (Daks included, would be a boon if Dr. Lush can bring in that Gooney Bird or any other bird/s he may just have in mind  ) to share in a some fun, show some interesting aircraft and share some good ole' camaraderie over this week end. Spread the word, so we can see a showcase of Experimental, Vintage, Light Sport as well as anything else that flies or anyone that has an interest in flying, building or restoring all things aviation. To quote our evergreen Capt Ret. Karl Jensen, Chairperson Chapter 322. "All are welcome as the flowers in Spring!" Alan Mackenzie and John Boucher (MISASA) are also giving the EAA a plug to spread the word and get the LSA's and Micro lights heading Wings Park'wards for the first week end in August. Once the program and info pack is finalized we will post it here.

But that's easily solved.....contact one of the Wings Parker's in advance and you will most likely have a "welcoming committee" ..... We have a list of refuellers who will assist, but being an unmanned private airfield, we rely on advance notice for visiting aircraft (Usually when individuals send in their signed indemnity they make contact with one of us) http://www.wingspark.co.za/wings/downlo ... EMNITY.pdf

"Bryan" here on avcom is there a huge amount of the time and has been very friendly to visiting pilots =D> and of course over week-ends there usually is a fair amount of folk milling around...

So, let us know when you want to visit with the Dak and you will be surprised at the reception

Wings Park is one of those venues where "All are welcome, but nobody's invited" :D just tell one of us that you are coming.... Contact nmbers: http://www.wingspark.co.za/wings/contact.asp

Our runway is 1000metres of good grass and the other isv650 metres. If you can get in and out of that , you wecome. Full Avgas tanks (23000 litres)and quite a bit of Mogas. No landing fees and free smiles and chirps.
Regards
Bryan Erasmus.

I am trying to round up some "Vaalies" to come down for the event, can these guys indicate who would like to join us so that maybe we can fly down as a group?

Guys going to Wings Park from the North.
