I have also installed the flap actuator and positioner - this was purchased from The Peregrine as he used a VPX.

Jy moet Rikus leer om in die stert rond te kruip en werkies daar te kan doen, lyk of hy lekker daar kan inpas, dan sal ek hom by jou kom huur per uur as ek weer in die stert moet rondkruip. :D

I have been a bit slow on this project the last two weeks. No less than 3 AC to do Annual Inspections on.
I have started however to populate the Firewall. First had to build the battery box. Note that I still have not riveted the Firewall Recess as I need access there when doing the canopy.

Looking good !
Concerning the flap positioner, where do you feed is to, and what advantage is there
in having accurate flap position indication ?

The positioner in this case is the one from Vans that stops the flaps in 3 positions on the 6/7/8/9. This is 0, 15 and 30 degrees.
So if you are at 0 flaps, you just flick the DOWN switch and it will move to 15 degrees and stop. Flick it again and it will go to 30 degrees and stop. The down part of hte switch is momentary. The when you need to go flaps up, you just put the swith in the UP position and it will go up and stop at 0 degrees.

So in this case it is not a sensor that you can connect to an indicator, but just an auto stop at certain points.

You can add various resistive position sensors and feed it to a number of indicators. Skyview will also indicate it.

Hope it helps?

A nice milestone is when the Forward Top Skin is riveted on for keeps. It also marked the 200hrs mark of this project.
