South Africa’s SAS Amatola in the lead, Brazil’s BNS Defensora and then India’s INS Talwar with the smoke.

Was it one of these Hawks doing a display over Milnerton now?

Re: The Flightradar 24 interesting traffic thread
I noticed on the screenshot that the Hawk has a ZS- registration number. Do military aircraft have a ZS- registrations?

Re: The Flightradar 24 interesting traffic thread
Does anyone know what type of aircraft ZS-ASG is? This morning I saw it flying from FACT to George doing 180 to 190 knots at 9000ft. At George it did a go-around before landing and shutting down. What I don't get is that it was doing over 180 knots in the circuit, which I'm not used to seeing, and still doing well over 100 knots on short final. It has now taken off again, heading back to Cape Town doing 150 knots at 10000ft. The only reference I can find on the internet is of SAAF 1528, a Tiger Moth, that carried this registration in the 1940s. The link below is a playback of the flight from earlier.

If you don't gear up your brain before takeoff, you'll probably gear up your airplane on landing.

Re: The Flightradar 24 interesting traffic thread
It's a Cessna T337H operated by Cape Town Police Department. I'll get the FR24 record updated as it's blank.ddevos wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 2:38 pm Does anyone know what type of aircraft ZS-ASG is?
