Re: ft-guinea-build (cargo plane)
Got some supplies today from Flight Pro.
I went with cheaper emax motors.
Now to figure out the most effecient way to run the wires and make up some leads. Need to be able to get to the connector plugs too.

First layer to hold on an aileron. This tape would have been stronger with the lines the other way but I will cover it with orange vinyl so should stay on ^_^

Damn! This cargo plane got bigger control surfaces than a 4D Yak!
Just a question regarding the placement of your control horn on the control surface..
Why do you put it in the middle of the surface? I have allways placed them right on the hinge line.. I curious to learn something new

Re: Depron Cargo Plane Build (ft-guinea)
Yeah they are more than double the size actually needed. Plans were free....
Hinge line is far better, will give less wobble and use less material to make push rod. Most of them are also closer to the fuse, probably affects something or other
Would also use less cable.
I put mine in the middle because I put flat plastic down first to keep the horns level. Else it would pull the depron apart. Probably could have tried moving them closer but was worried it would pull off.
The high rates will probably be 50% of the throw and 30% for low rates lol

Re: Depron Cargo Plane Build (ft-guinea)
Trying to set the CG with no joy.
Moved the wing as far forward as possible but it's still tail heavy.
With two 2200 3cells it's already 1.8 kg all wheels up
May have to abandon the build unless I can extend the nose to push the batterys further forward.
Need to remember for next time "every gram counts"

Re: Depron Cargo Plane Build (ft-guinea)
Mmmm! I had a similar prob with my spoeg-&-plak twin. I ended up making the engine nacelles longer & fitting HUGE motors i just happened to have. My a.u.w was 1.6kg... of which the fuse was only 400g! I didnt tape anything like u did.
Bit of rework and off she goes!
