Nope this one is a solo effort, so it is going to take a while.

So last weekend's effort resulted in a lot of parts in primer.
Work done, drilling, deburring, rubbing and dimpling.

Here is what a bunch of riveting produced this weekend.

Thanks to Stephen my son who acted as the riveter.

:D :D So it has been a while,

Empennage complete and now hanging on the wall, a partner has joined me in the build, so let me introduce Theo, we each have a share in Pegasus, a Piper Colt which has been rebuilt and converted into a taildragger after an incident in the seventies involving a prop start without chocks and a hanger at Krugersdorp I am told.

Theo is a chemical engineer, in his younger days got a long way down putting a VariEze (I think it was ) together, so guess who gets to do all of the fibreglass work.

So laid up the tail cone, next is a big match drilling session then on to deburring, dimpling, priming and finally re-assembly and riveting.

Hi Ian,
Interesting stuff about the Colt Pegasus !! My late Dad was involved with the stripping of the aircraft with EAA Chapter 514 in those days, have some photos of the occasion if you are interested.

As those of you know, building moves forward very rapidly for a time and then idles as it is disassembled and the real work takes place.

Theo thinks we have an almost complete aeroplane at this stage.

Thanks Jeff, sent you a PM.

Pegasus taught me to fly a tail dragger, in fact probably re-taught me to fly as for the first 10 hours I bounded down the runway like a Jack rabbit.
