Re: Here we go again - RV10 build
Absolutely,
Cowl work is almost complete, airfilter almost done and the installation of a landing light in the cowl complete.
The engine is now off and ready to be sent in for rebuild, got some intersection fairings to do,then tidy up electrical, then pack the fuselage off to the hanger.
All in all a lot of progress.
Bring the wings in from the hanger, sort out wingtips, electrical and lighting, fit the final skin underneath each wing. Wings to hanger, fit check incidences, Fit empennage, check incidences and then off to paint. Oh, sort out electronic ignition.
Whilst that happens, upholstery and CAA paperwork.
Seems simple.
Build on.....

Re: Here we go again - RV10 build
So after a slow down as a result of real work, we decided to move the fuselage to the hangar and get the wings into the workshop so I would have something to do over the lockdown. Theo took the wingtips, fibreglass stuff and will be sorting out the lights.
That is it for now, build on....

I don't understand it, the missus came out shouting when I started spraying near her undies. I spent the night in the garage. Most strange.

Re: Here we go again - RV10 build
So it is done. First flight 28 July 2023.
4 small snags, all to do with instrumentation, flies beautifully, no trim needed. So we built her straight.

Re: Here we go again - RV10 build
Congratulations for completing the project, that last 10% is certainly character building.
Now enjoy an absolutely awesome machine, hopefully you can keep the engine cool during the run-in period.
