From ER24, apparently came down onto a house in Midrand.

Various emergency services attended the scene of a light aircraft crash at approximately 12:15 this afternoon in Midrand.

Paramedics that arrived on the scene found members from the Grand Central Airport Fire Department already on scene. It appeared that one person was ejected from the aircraft during the crash. Paramedics treated the man for serious injuries on the scene before taking him through to a nearby hospital.

The exact cause for the crash is not yet known. It is understood that the aircraft crashed into a house. No one else was injured.

Local authorities attended the incident.

current temp 27degC, so density altitude could be a factor

Was in the 30's when I last checked but still lower than usual.
Will put my money on a donkey problem.

I just had a look at Google-Maps, and see that Donovan street is the long road the is the northern/north-eastern boundary at FAGC, running from the upwind threshold of RNY35 all the way along the boundary

It's on the non-circuit side east of the runway.
Helos route across there when heading for the northern corridor or Pinedene.
Can only think he had an engine failure and tried turning right for the grass area adjacent the runway, or an unsuccessful turn back.

ANN7 just had a brief headline report

from the fuzzy images, I could make out the corrugated sheet metal, that is common to a Cessna's flaps/ailerons
there was also an image of a fire, as well as burnt out wreckage
