Re: Seen at Ballito Airfield
I believe the RV belongs to Mervin Roberts a repeat RV builder. It's old home was Dave Emonds hanger at Virginia.
I flew in the Cub ZS-BJA in May 1980 a week after my dad was killed in his Breezy. At that time Alwyn Swanepoel owned it. Who is the current owner?
Great pictures by the way.

Alwyn (and his son Bryan) still own it.critson wrote:I believe the RV belongs to Mervin Roberts a repeat RV builder. It's old home was Dave Emonds hanger at Virginia.

The Ballito Microlight School has been there since 1997 so the Airfield must have been there some time prior to thatkrusty wrote:It had been there quite a while before I moved to Ballito which was 13 years ago...Christopher wrote:How long has there even <been> an airfield at Ballito?
