Re: Seen at FALA ( Lanseria )
Surprised to see it is a fixed pitch prop. That is one heck of an investment - what engine does the new 172's arrive with ?

Re: Seen at FALA ( Lanseria )
The restart Cessna 172s both came out with the Fuel Injected Lycoming IO-360. The Cessna 172R was 160hp and the Cessna 172S was 180hp. The 172R was taken out of production in the late 2000's and only the C172S continued.
The C172 will always be Cessna's Basic Trainer, hence remains Fixed Pitch.
A more recent change is the addition of the Garmin GI275 Standby Instrument replacing the previous 3 analog gauges (ASI,ALT and AH) and associated vacuum system

Re: Seen at FALA ( Lanseria )
Thanks Air Bear !!
Is that the Lycoming O-360 4 cylinder 180 hp like in the C177 ?
If so, that is a great motor - and would make the 172 a machine !
