Re: Seen at FALA ( Lanseria )
The two Gulfstream G V-SP's took off one after the other yesterday afternoon ; they must have been heavy because they rotated a lot later than
the bizjets normally do at FALA.
Here's some pics of American registered Gulfstream G V-SP (G550) N203A .. 17 Aug 2012

ZS-OXY was dispatched to Sierra Leone for a mercy flight on Friday. She got back yesterday morning. I've been looking for some good takeoff pics of OXY.

Re: Seen at FALA ( Lanseria )
Anyone get any shots of ZS-LAH yesterday and who was on board? Must have been some high up govt official because security was high and there was a blue light convoy waiting...

Probably just the minister of paper, move on, nothing to see here.Walter105 wrote:Anyone get any shots of ZS-LAH yesterday and who was on board? Must have been some high up govt official because security was high and there was a blue light convoy waiting...

Re: Seen at FALA ( Lanseria )
Dirk this aeroplane was originally fitted with a TSIO520R (turbo) engine and then was STC modded to the Atlantic Aero 310 Hp IO550P "TI" (Tuned induction) engine.ddevos wrote:Pete, according to the information I have, ZS-LYE had an IO-550-C (300HP) when it took part in the PTAR in 2008. I know it had an engine failure in 2004 shortly after a MPI and I assume the IO-550 was then installed. Do you by any chance know when and why that engine would have been replaced with this IO-550-P?
Interesting to note it also had an undercarriage failure in 1998 on the very same day it had a MPI.
IO550C is an engine fitted to later 300Hp Beech 58 Barons and not applicable to the Cessnas.
Maybe some skulduggery for the air race, as the "TI" is a moerava lot faster.. I know.. we have done a few of these mods!

Re: Seen at FALA ( Lanseria )
Below a few of those from today (21/Aug/12) I hadn't seen before. Further D2-EAH Beech 400, 5N-BLW Learjet 45 and N512TF Falcon 900 were all at ExecuJet and the Brazilian Citation Excel was still on the Terminal ramp together with M-IVSP Gulfstream 4SP.
N210RK BAe 125-700B, seemed to be in for some maintenance so guess also Africa based. Had what looked like "Josatat 2" on tail, any clues

N109SP Beech A200 King Air, owned by Congo Mining & Services so guess based somewhere in DRC.

ZS-LFM Beech B200 King Air

Re: Seen at FALA ( Lanseria )
Cleaning out in progress. ZS-IJN Fokker F28 in Inter Air colours is in the process of being cut up, with tail section off and dumped on ground.
Also ZS-SFZ BAe 146-200 looses more and more parts everyday. Now the cockpit windows.
