Tips & Tricks #5: Notification Management

Notifications are the alerts that you receive informing you that there is a new post on a topic you are watching (subscribed), when someone has sent you a PM etc. In this tip, we look at how to manage, if and how, you receive these notifications.

The two forms of notifications are by e-mail or displayed in your notifications area located under the bell icon found at the top right hand side of the forum as indicated in the above picture.

To configure your notifications, click on the person icon at the top right hand side of the forum, then select 'User Control Panel'. See below picture.

Then click on the 'Board Preferences' Tab along the top, and then click 'Edit Notifications'. Make your selections and click the 'Submit' button.

Simple as that. Also ensure your mail address is up to date on your profile or no notifications will be received. Also worthwile checking your spam filters if you do not receive your mailed notifications.
