Re: Photographic Tips / Workshop
Hello
I am pondering on which camera's to buy. 1) My brother's 2nd hand Canon 550D (Hardly ever used and looks brand new = 18-55mm and 55-250mm lens). 2) Canon 600D new with 18-55mm OR 3) Canon 1100D new with 18-55.
Any ideas please?

Re: Photographic Tips / Workshop
It depends on your...
- Budget
- Interests
- Time available to spend
- What you want to do with your images?
In short: The better camera with a longer lens will always be advisable for shooting aircraft, but if you are not planning to learn how to use (know the camera and theory) it and learn how to shoot (understand the subject and action shooting... or will it be stills?) - no camera will help. (Harsh words? Yes - but very true)
SO - tell us more and you will get advice. maybe go over to ODP - were those articles are (FORUM) - and hear what those guys have to say.

Re: Photographic Tips / Workshop
I need to get the information on date and time pictures was taken and whether it has been edited. My camera does not have the facility of putting date/time stamps on a picture itself. Is this possible?

Re: Photographic Tips / Workshop
That info is usually contained in the EXIF info. Not sure which photo viewing/editing software you use, but generally can be found under the "info"or 'image info" button.
Of course, if the photo has already been edited, then it's possible the image was saved without the EXIF info.

Instead of typing an essay, I did my very own low-budget YouTube video!... it's kind of embarrassing to listen to your own voice

Re: Photographic Tips / Workshop
Meelperd, sincerely appreciate the time you have taken to put this together. Always interesting to see how others post-process pictures. And in your case you certainly do go along way down the rabbit hole
Adobe products certainly are impressive with what they can do. I have grown up on the Corel products so use Corel Draw, Corel Photopaint and Corel Aftershot Pro in a similar way to what you have described. However, my selective editing is very limited mostly to remove blemishes, dust spots and a few other items.
PS, its always a shocker to hear one's own voice on playback
