Mooi Rudi. Dit lyk pragtig. Ek deel jou gevoelens of ek die geduld sal he om weer met CAA te werk.

Re: Rudi’s Fokker E-III ‘Eindecker’ Build
Dankie. Ja Jong. Vir nou fokus ek maar eers om die ene lekker te kry, so ek beplan om die "proving" en die toets vlieg gedeelte gate uit te geniet. They say time heals all, so miskien na 'n paar maande voel ek anders en sien weer kans vir CAA.ppakotze wrote: Tue Feb 16, 2021 9:16 am Mooi Rudi. Dit lyk pragtig. Re: Rudi’s Fokker E-III ‘Eindecker’ Build
Rudi according to CAR 21-08.5 you can test fly the aircraft without an ATF.
Providing that:
1) The aircraft is properly registered
2) The certifying AP must enter in the logbook "Fit for fuctional test flight"
3)Written permission from the owner.
4)Take off and land at the same airfield......IAW not leave the circuit.

Ha Ha, I am thinking, but this whole CAA thing has left a bad experience on this last build, it is getting out of hand! For now I am just focusing on enjoying the experience of testing and test flying this new bird...and who knows what the future will hold.

I thought ADB was asking out of curiosity, not trying to be a smart*rse. I was also wondering who would test fly the aircraft, not knowing that Rudi himself is a qualified test pilot. There would have been absolutely no grounds to have made that assumption.jimdavis wrote: Tue Feb 16, 2021 1:35 pm

Well done Rudi, its a awesome little Fokker. I can't wait to see you flying her.
Question I have: How do you get into the plane?

Hi Willem, excellent question...if you look at the left side of the airplane just behind the wing, there is a step hole in the fuselage. put one foot in, and hop in over from behind the wing.willemgreyling wrote: Tue Feb 16, 2021 4:41 pm Well done Rudi, its a awesome little Fokker. ......remember the chant from the days in uniform that goes like this, " this is my rifle, this is my gun, one is for working and one is for fun" - I think Rudi is sorted!!
