Airdrome Aeroplanes Videos

Unread post by RudiGreyling »

Here is a collection of WW1 Replica Videos. Not all of them might be kits from Airdrome Aeroplanes, but most of them use the same construction technique built out of Aluminium Tube and Gusset, Blind (pop) riveted together and covered with fabric.

First the marketing promotional video to set the scene:

A Gathering of Eagles

Unread post by RudiGreyling »

Anyone who has read Kitplanes Magazine is familiar with The Dawn Patrol of Kansas City. These folks cherish the craft and "daring-do" of WWI Aviators. To that end, they have built an interesting array of replicas from that storied time. Every year they meet at the Gardner, Kansas Airport for what they call "A Gathering of Eagles". While they are not always sticklers for the fine points of their replication, their Heart clearly shows. If you get a chance to join them for "A Gathering", you will know what it was like to be alive and in the sky at the beginning of the 20th Century.
