My favorite aerie is the Decathlon. Just a great machine all round. But the wheel pants must stay on! It’s a crime to take them off! Just looks wrong.

Dennis Spence has been obsessive about restoring this aircraft .. he has bought so many new parts for it that I tell him its no longer a restoration but a new aeroplane. Every nut/bolt/screw/washer/cable/hose/trim etc etc is new and has been bought by Dennis personally on multiple visits to the American Champion factory in the USJoziFlyer wrote:Looking good! The only way you will find a newer Super Decathlon ... is if you buy one new from the factory which these days is many $$$

The only way you will find a newer Super Decathlon ... is if you buy one new from the factory which these days is many $$$

All going well .. I guess it would be possible in January ... but given Dennis tweaking... I would guess March 2018
