Genevation Aircraft Company
During May 2018 I will be traveling to Hungary to visit the Genevation Aircraft Factory. The purpose of this visit is to familiarize myself with this aircraft and to meet the designers and all the role players who have had an input in the design and manufacturing. Then later in the year during the month of August I will be flying this aircraft in the Advanced World Aerobatic Championship to be held in Romania. I will be competing as H/C.
Thank you to Viktor Zsabó from Genevation.hu and László Liszkay a world renowned aerobatic judge for making this opportunity a reality to showcase this project to the aerobatic community. Its an honor for me to be associated with this new product.
Péter Besenyei and François Le Vot are the two Genevation test pilots on this project helping with the development. Both of them are of the opinion that the Genpro has the best ailerons of any aerobatic aircraft they have ever flown. At 180knots all that is required are just the tips of 2 fingers in order to have full control over the aircrafts roll rate.
To date I have logged over 400 Hours (1200+ Flights) on my one of a kind Slick 540. With the Slick's flight experience of taking a new aircraft that was never test flown in Airshows or competitions up to the level of flying her in the Unlimited World Aerobatic Championship 2017 gives me the understanding and full respect of the Genevation Aircrafts goal.

Wow, this sounds fantastic!
One question, is a four blade prop unusual for an aerobatic ac? I have no idea..
After watching the video i hope the operators manual is in English!

4 Blade is for noise reduction in Europe.

Looks very similar to what would be a single seat gamebird. Surely the 4 blade prop also gives better climb/acceleration/short field performance?

Flying the Genevation Genpro:
The design of the aircraft is complete different in wing design compared to what we have seen to date for aerobatic aircraft with a slow speed capablility of 50-53KCAS. So is the use of new light weight Carbon Steel tubes. Dr.Csaba developed a technique where they are able to weld steel tubes and carbon together in a process that requires -100'C. This reduces the empty weight while at the time increasing the structural strength where the certification of the Genpro will have a snap speed at 220KCAS.
Airframe #3 will have titanium welded carbon, reducing the empty weight to under 600Kg. The new engines is on its way to the factory. The Lycoming Thunderbolt with around 340Hp and Harzell 3 blade will be the power plant and propellor of choice.
All aircraft will feature a 6 point real time stress test recording system allowing for continuous monitoring of structural support. The prototype flown this week I could snap at 160-180 KCAS indicating 15-20% stress on the tail section. The human body will not be able to stress this design beyond 30-40% of absolute design limits.
I found a unique flight characteristics at super low speeds. This is so unique that one French pilot who came to to view the aircraft was constantly worried that the Genpro will fall out of the sky. At 60 knots 1/4-1/3 throlle required you pull gently to 45’ then open throttle and start your roll, after that pull vertical 2x4 with opposite 3/4 before drawing a line for stall turn and looking at the video after the flight I pivoted to early.
In freestyle you fly this slow characteristics and find yourself gaining hight continuously with out ever the need for hight gain to start the next gyroscopic. Seamless flow from one to the next gyroscopic all in upline to horizontal and below 120 knots with an average of 80-90 indicated.

Design and Production Leader
Csaba is a mechanical engineer, a welding engineer, an aircraft structural engineer (with specialisation in composites), and aerospace engineer, PhD. Co-founder of Genevation Aircraft Ltd.
He has over 10 years working experience in the Aerospace Industry. Also attended a number of aircraft design, manufacture and licensing airworthiness courses and has a high-level of designer’s knowledge of type-certification relating to aircraft FAR-23, CS-23, CS-VLA, LSA, LTF-UL, RBAR-Part-E and BCAR systems in autogyro and helicopter categories.

Better have lots of sponge added to your helmetthe certification of the Genpro will have a snap speed at 220KCAS.

Training this week with the best coach in the World. Also flew my first cross country in Europe this week. The days are quite long I get up at 5am, flying starts at 9am and ends at 8pm.
